Ok, I am officially sick and tired of winter. Wednesday, March 20 was supposed to be the first day of spring. On the first Saturday of April I cleaned out our pond for the season. I generally wait until the pond is unlikely to freeze again before cleaning it out. Here is a picture of the pond I took yesterday afternoon.

Snow pond

I can’t wait for spring to actually get here. Mowing the yard actually sounds good right now.
This is the third day in a row I have received the following message on my e-mail at work:
… Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from noon today to
midnight MDT tonight…
* timing… freezing drizzle and flurries will give way to steady
and heavier snowfall by later this morning and early
afternoon. The snow may be heavy at times this afternoon… and
then gradually diminish late this evening through the
overnight hours.
* Snow accumulations… 4 to 7 inches.
It is hard to flounder on the prairie when it is covered in a foot of snow.
